God’s Healing Promises

God has opened the way for all to come to Him for healing, through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Whether the need is mental, emotional or physical healing, Jesus is the Answer!

God Is Good

BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the LORD, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the LORD, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits– Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]! The LORD executes righteousness and justice [not for me only, but] for all who are oppressed. (Psalm 103:1-6)

Jesus Is Able

…with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

[Jesus] opened (unrolled) the book and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the LORD [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound]. (Luke 4:17-19)

[Jesus] went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people. (Matthew 4:23)

… how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38)

As Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting loudly, “Have pity and mercy on us, Son of David!” When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you;” And their eyes were opened. (Matthew 9:27-30)

I am the LORD who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)

…by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

Jesus Is Willing

When He went ashore and saw a great throng of people, He had compassion (pity and deep sympathy) for them and cured their sick. (Matthew 14:14)

And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. (Matthew 8:2-3)

Trust and Believe Him

Then to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant boy was restored to health at that very moment. (Matthew 8:13)

And when the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came up trembling, and, falling down before Him, she declared in the presence of all the people for what reason she had touched Him and how she had been instantly cured. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith (your confidence and trust in Me) has made you well! Go (enter) into peace (untroubled, undisturbed well-being).” (Luke 8:47-48)

Humble Yourself Before God

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the LORD with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognise, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the LORD and turn [entirely] away from evil. It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones. (Proverbs 3:5-8)

If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivers them out of their distresses. He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction. Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the LORD for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm 107:19-21)

O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. (Psalms 30:2)

The Believers Authority to Heal

Jesus summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and all kinds of weakness and infirmity. (Matthew 10:1)

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8)

[Believers] will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. (Mk 16:18)

Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name; And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. (James 5:14-16)
